Ileana Moro is multi-disciplinary artist focusing her practice mainly in painting, besides sculpture, writings, conceptual art and video/performance art.
Ileana’s work delves into the transmutation process from unconscious to conscious awareness. Her self-taught artistic expression, primarily through oil on linen, explores abstract themes, avoiding the human form to delve into her own complexity, transient, mystical realms. By employing inner visions, she creates layered works rich in symbolism and metaphor, shifting viewers from analysis to feelings. Describing her creations as “portals ,” allowing to calm and move closer to the self — a space for reckoning and transformation. Ileana’s exploration of dark tones unveils the depths of our existence and its connection to the unseen, infused with a potent sense of nostalgia. Her art invites to evolve through emotional expression and self-discovery, viewing shadows as potent omens.
